The Iota Master Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi International Sorority recently donated toiletries, socks, and household items to Geaux and Deaux Ministries, a Livingston Parish faith-based nonprofit that distributes essential goods to individuals and organizations in need.
Geaux and Deaux Ministries, led by Co-Founder and President Karen Sanders, works with community partners to provide clothing, meals, and supplies to people experiencing homelessness. The organization also supplies toiletries, sheets, and clothing to O'Brien House, which provides residential treatment and outreach for individuals and families dealing with alcoholism and drug abuse, and donates kitchen items such as dishes, pots, and pans to Start Corporation, which serves adults, teens, and seniors facing mental health conditions, substance dependency, and developmental disabilities.
The Beta Sigma Phi donation adds to the ministry's stock of goods, which it distributes directly to those partners and to individuals who reach out for help.
Beta Sigma Phi is an international women's sorority with chapters focused on community service and philanthropy. The Iota Master Chapter's contribution reflects the organization's ongoing commitment to meeting needs in the local community.
