A roadway preservation project on LA 1026 (Juban Road) south of Interstate 12 will begin this year, two years ahead of its original 2028 schedule, according to a Facebook post from state Rep. Roger Wilder.
The project covers LA 1026 between LA 16 and Forest Delatte Road in Livingston Parish. Work includes stabilizing the existing roadway and placing a new asphalt overlay to repair deterioration, improve ride quality, and extend the life of the road.
The project was accelerated after surplus funds were identified within the Louisiana Transportation and Infrastructure Fund. Wilder credited Dalton Williams, the district DOTD supervisor, for helping secure the funding.
Estimated final completion is set for summer 2027.
