LIVINGSTON PARISH — Registration for kindergarten students entering Livingston Parish Public Schools for the 2026–2027 school year will open Monday, March 2, according to district officials.
Parents and guardians may complete the registration process online through the district’s website. A Spanish-language option is also available for families who need assistance.
District officials emphasized that only PreK students who have already applied and received official acceptance documentation should complete the kindergarten registration form. Families seeking to apply for the district’s PreK program should visit lppsearlychildhood.com for application information.
Parents may check the status of a PreK application through the Livingston Early Childhood application site.
Families registering a new student must upload the following documents:
Birth certificate
Immunization record
Three proofs of residency
Custody documents, if applicable
Social Security card
Last report card, if available
Withdrawal form from previous school, if applicable
The district requires three proofs of residency that include the name of the parent or guardian and the physical address. At least one document must be from the district’s primary list, which includes:
Utility bill
Water bill
Cable or phone bill
Home purchase documents
Valid driver’s license or state ID matching the current address
Other acceptable documents include property tax statements, voter registration, SNAP benefits documentation, bank statements, and a current lease.
If proof of residency is not in the parent or guardian’s name, families must complete the appropriate district form and contact their assigned school for assistance.
For students returning to Livingston Parish Public Schools, families will receive an email with a link to review and update student information for the upcoming school year on Tuesday, July 8.
The email will be sent from noreplyregistration@powerschool.com. Officials note that the update process cannot be completed through the PowerSchool Parent app.
If families do not receive the email by the end of the day Wednesday, July 9, they should check spam or junk folders. If the email is still not located, parents are asked to contact their child’s school on July 10 to update their email address and request that the link be resent.
For more information or to begin registration, families should visit the Livingston Parish Public Schools website.
