DENHAM SPRINGS, La. (June 30, 2025) — Local law enforcement officers teamed up with Texas Roadhouse staff this evening to raise funds for Special Olympics Louisiana during a Tip-A-Cop event at the Denham Springs location.
From 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., officers from the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office, Baton Rouge Police Department and Denham Springs Police Department donned aprons and served tables during the event. Organized as part of the Louisiana Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR), Tip-A-Cop encourages officers to engage directly with the public and collect donations to fund sports training and athletic competitions for individuals with intellectual disabilities.

Tip-A-Cop events are being held across Louisiana at Texas Roadhouse locations in other cities including Alexandria, Baton Rouge, Bossier City and Covington .
Proceeds from tonight’s event go to Special Olympics Louisiana to support local athletes through year-round sports training and competitions. Organizers said the combined effort of law enforcement, community members and local businesses demonstrates a powerful commitment to inclusion and support for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
