WALKER, LA — The Livingston Council on Aging (LCOA) invites Livingston Parish seniors and their families to attend the Annual LCOA Health Fair on Friday, June 26, 2026, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office Training Center, 29225 Woodside Drive, Walker, LA 70785.
Sponsored by People’s Health, this annual event will bring together more than two dozen healthcare providers, senior service organizations, community agencies, and local businesses dedicated to helping older adults live healthier, more active lives.
With lunch covered by DEMCO, attendees will have the opportunity to receive health screenings, gather information about nutrition and wellness, learn about available senior services, and connect directly with organizations that support healthy aging throughout Livingston Parish.
“The Health Fair is one of our most anticipated events each year because it provides seniors with valuable information and resources all in one place,” said Stephanie Landry, Executive Director of the Livingston Council on Aging. “Whether someone is looking for health information, support services, wellness resources, or simply a chance to connect with community partners, this event offers something for everyone.”
Representatives from healthcare organizations, insurance providers, home health agencies, senior living communities, transportation services, and other community partners will be available to answer questions and provide educational materials.
The LCOA serves parish residents age 60 and older through a variety of programs designed to promote independence, health, and quality of life. Services include home-delivered and congregate meals, transportation assistance, wellness programs, social activities, and supportive services. LCOA helps older residents live life fully, seeing aging as a time to thrive.
The Health Fair is free and open to the public. For more information, call 225-664‑9343 or visit LivingstonCouncilOnAging.net.
