DENHAM SPRINGS, La. — A Leadership Livingston class through the Livingston Parish Chamber of Commerce has been working on the revitalization of Spring Park in Denham Springs as its community improvement project.
Spring Park, located along River Road, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is tied to the natural mineral springs that helped give Denham Springs its name. Project organizers say the goal is to improve safe public access to the historic site while preserving its heritage for future generations.
According to information released by the group, planned improvements include the construction of a safe walking path, landscaping enhancements, and the installation of ADA-accessible picnic tables. The project is intended to enhance accessibility and aesthetics while preserving the historic park's character.
The Leadership Livingston group is seeking community support for the project through sponsorships and donations, with funds benefiting the Livingston Chamber Foundation and designated for Spring Park improvements. Information about sponsorship levels and ways to contribute has been shared through flyers and online donation links.
Residents are encouraged to visit Spring Park to learn more about the site and the proposed improvements.
