Livingston Parish Chamber is bringing back its EXPO and Job Fair, titled Love LP EXPO, on Tuesday, May 12 from 4 pm to 7 pm at the Suma Hall Community Center off I-12 at the Satsuma Exit.
At the end of the 2019 event, the free event was touted as one of the largest expos in the region. A series of shutdowns in gatherings and building usage had the event on hold until now.
“With so many new opportunities in our area, it was time to look at this popular event once again. We brought the idea to a small focus group, and their enthusiasm solidified the decision to move forward with this local showcase. As of today, over 70 vendors have signed up, with several others close to committing,” states April Wehrs, Chamber President.
A highlight of the EXPO is a restaurant showcase. Restaurants throughout the parish are invited to participate and enter for a chance to win the “Restaurant Challenge”. It’s a chef’s choice entry. It’s all in fun and a great way to show off our local eateries.
The event also features a job fair section. Employers will be on hand to meet with job seekers. It’s a great opportunity to get face-to-face with potential employers and customers.

The Chamber steadily does that and promotes our parish in a positive light. It was an easy choice for my firm to support the event and the recognition it brings to Livingston Parish.”
Attendees of this free event can expect to see industries ranging from healthcare to technology to finance, as well as community organizations. Local elected officials will be here too, with several setting up booths to share with the public and answer questions.
There will be a DJ keeping the energy high, along with giveaways from many of the vendors.
