LIVINGSTON, La. - Livingston Parish President Randy Delatte has appointed Anna Johnson as the new Public Affairs Specialist for the parish, a role focused on strengthening communication, coordinating outreach efforts, and supporting key initiatives tied to parish growth.
Johnson is a graduate of Denham Springs High School and Southeastern Louisiana University, with a master’s degree from LSU. She brings a background in communications, business development, strategic planning, and governmental affairs. Prior to this appointment, she served as Executive Director of the West Baton Rouge Chamber of Commerce and has held leadership roles in various civic and professional organizations.
The Public Affairs Specialist position is intended to help shape and share the parish’s messaging across economic development, infrastructure, and innovation priorities. A major component of the role includes promoting efforts to expand Livingston Parish’s tax base by attracting clean, sustainable businesses that can lessen the tax burden on residents and bolster the local economy.
Johnson has completed multiple regional leadership programs, including the Baton Rouge Business Report Leadership Academy, the Baton Rouge Area Chamber Leadership Program, and the Barton Leadership Academy. She was also selected as a 2023 ChangeMaker by the Baton Rouge Alliance for Students and has been named among the Capital Region’s “People to Watch.”
In addition to her professional experience, Johnson has served with numerous community organizations, including the Louisiana Firefighters Association, Dream Teachers of Louisiana, City Year Baton Rouge, the American Heart Association, and the Boys & Girls Club of Baton Rouge. She has also participated in energy and workforce development initiatives through organizations such as the Center for Emerging Energies and the Future Use of Energy in Louisiana (FUEL) Workforce Development Committee.
Her appointment is expected to help align communication between the Parish President’s Office, the Parish Council, and the broader community, with an emphasis on coordination and efficiency across key public initiatives.
