Livingston Parish, La. – Livingston Parish has received a second grant to support its upcoming Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event and other environmental initiatives, Parish President Randy Delatte announced this week.
The most recent award, a Healthy Communities Grant from Keep Louisiana Beautiful, provides up to $10,000 to help fund a free disposal event in November 2025, offering residents a safe and responsible way to get rid of hazardous materials, waste tires, and other hard-to-manage items.
This funding follows an earlier $10,000 grant from the Weyerhaeuser Giving Fund, which was announced in July and also earmarked for the parish’s annual Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event, scheduled for November 2025.
Delatte said the additional grant from Keep Louisiana Beautiful reinforces the parish’s commitment to protecting its waterways, public spaces, and neighborhoods.
“Our team continues to work together to invest in a cleaner, healthier future for our communities,” Delatte said in a social media post. “This event will give our residents a safe and responsible way to dispose of hazardous materials, waste tires, and other hard-to-manage items, keeping our homes, neighborhoods, and waterways cleaner and safer.”
More details about the November collection event, including accepted items and drop-off locations, will be released in the coming months.
