Livingston Parish to increase patrols for holiday ‘Drive Sober’ campaign

LIVINGSTON PARISH — Local law enforcement agencies will step up patrols across the parish through New Year’s Day as part of the statewide “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign, the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office announced.

The enforcement effort is aimed at deterring impaired driving during the holiday season. Officials said specific patrol details will not be released in advance.

The increased presence will be funded through a federal grant administered by the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission, which provides overtime pay for participating officers.

Motorists are urged to drive safely, remain sober behind the wheel, and follow all Louisiana traffic regulations.
