LPSO identifies suspect, seeks second person in Holden theft case

HOLDEN, La. — Detectives with the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office are searching for a suspect and working to identify another following a theft investigation in Holden.

The case began March 10, when investigators responded to a reported theft on Florida Boulevard involving a red and gray Exmark Lazer Z lawnmower valued at approximately $5,000. Authorities said several other items were also targeted in an attempted theft at the same property.

Sheriff Jason Ard said detectives have identified one suspect as 37-year-old Derwin Johnson of Hammond. Johnson is wanted on an active felony warrant for theft and two counts of attempted felony theft.

Investigators are still working to identify a second suspect connected to the incident.
