Her commitment to accuracy and love of Louisiana culture make her uniquely suited to lead the newsroom at a time of continued growth and change.

Originally from Oakdale, Louisiana, and now living in Denham Springs, she is married to McHugh David, a third-generation newspaper publisher and director of the Louisiana Press Association, and they both share a deep commitment to public service, storytelling, and community leadership.

“I believe local news is not only vital, it’s personal,” David said. “I’m honored to help carry forward the News’ legacy of accountability, accuracy, and connection with our readers.”

David’s appointment reflects the publication’s continued investment in high-quality journalism and its mission to inform, uplift, and advocate for the people of Livingston Parish and beyond.
