LIVINGSTON PARISH, LA — Office of Parish President Randy Delatte, in partnership with Keep Livingston Parish Beautiful, is inviting boaters, families, community organizations and residents throughout Livingston Parish to come together for the Love Our Waterways Litter Cleanup on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Registration starts at 7:30am at all boat launches listed below.
The community-wide cleanup will focus on removing litter from Livingston Parish waterways and helping protect the natural resources that make the parish such a special place to live, work and enjoy the outdoors.
Boats of all sizes and types are welcome. Whether you are an experienced boater, an avid fisherman, or simply someone who wants to lend a helping hand, volunteers are encouraged to participate. Families, boating and fishing clubs, civic organizations, sporting teams, businesses, churches and individuals are all invited to join the effort.
Livingston Parish is home to approximately 400 miles of navigable waterways, providing opportunities for fishing, hunting, boating, family gatherings and outdoor recreation. These waterways are an important part of the parish’s culture, economy, recreation, and quality of life.
“Livingston Parish is defined by its waterways,” said Randy Delatte. “Our rivers, lakes and waterways bring people together and provide countless opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. The Love Our Waterways cleanup is an opportunity for all of us to give back and help keep these treasured resources clean, beautiful and enjoyable for generations to come.
Cleanup materials will be provided. Participants simply need to bring their boat, family, friends, team or organization — and a willingness to help.
