DENHAM SPRINGS, LA — Under the leadership of Pastor Rev. Debra Keller, the Roberts United Methodist Church Education Committee is proud to announce the grand launch of the Roberts Community Education Series, a year-long initiative dedicated to empowering the Denham Springs community. The series kicks off with its inaugural event, the Summer Showcase: Small Business & Entrepreneurship, on Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

The event will be hosted at Roberts United Methodist Church, located at 201 Julia Street, Denham Springs, LA 70726. Admission is entirely free and open to the general public.

Dubbed “The Roberts Round-Up,” this first quarterly milestone event centers heavily on local economic development, business literacy, and neighborhood empowerment. The showcase will bring together a diverse marketplace of local artisans, independent cottage creators, bakers, boutique vendors, and educational resource providers under one roof.

“Rather than a singular outreach day, our vision is a sustained, year-long partnership with our neighborhood,” says the Roberts UMC Education Committee. “We want to inspire and cultivate the unique gifts and entrepreneurial spirits that God has placed right here within Denham Springs.”

The Summer Showcase serves as the entry point for a structured, year-long rotation of seasonal community forums designed to build local capacity. Future quarterly events include:

  • Health & Wellness Forum – October 17, 2026

  • Financial Literacy Seminar – January 16, 2027

  • Careers & Trades Exploration – April 17, 2027

Local business development groups, community resource networks, and families are highly encouraged to attend the July 18th kickoff to network, share resources, and support local makers.

Vendor spaces are still open for local business owners, bakers, and creators looking to showcase their services or resources. Indoor vendors will be provided a table and seating inside the Fellowship Hall, while community organizations can secure outdoor booth spaces. Vendors can register instantly at https://forms.gle/toMTHqNqT2C8WUZbA.
