LIVINGSTON, La. — A Livingston Parish man convicted of multiple counts of video voyeurism is scheduled to be sentenced next month, according to the 21st Judicial District Attorney’s Office.
Christopher Lee Johnson, 41, of Satsuma, is set to appear for sentencing on August 5 after being found guilty earlier this month on six counts of video voyeurism, including offenses involving a juvenile victim.
The charges stem from an August 2022 incident in which a victim discovered a memory card containing more than 300 videos recorded by a hidden camera in a bathroom shared by residents. The victim turned the memory card over to authorities, prompting an investigation by the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Johnson was arrested on August 12, 2022. During the investigation, detectives also seized Johnson’s cellphone, which allegedly contained software designed to hide additional recordings. Investigators believe there may be more victims who have not yet been identified.
District Attorney Scott Perrilloux confirmed the sentencing date and said Johnson was convicted during a trial held on July 10.
Video voyeurism is a felony offense in Louisiana. Because some of the counts involved a juvenile victim, Johnson could face enhanced penalties under state law.
