Sixty-four Livingston Parish 4-H members head to summer camp

Posted

Sixty-four 4-H members from across Livingston Parish participated in 4-H Camp at the Grant Walker Educational Center in Pollock, Louisiana, the week of June 1 through 4, 2026.

During the morning sessions, campers had the opportunity to participate in a "track." The tracks included Wetlands, Gardening, Outdoor Adventures, Food & Fitness, General Arts, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), and Water Safety. In the afternoons, campers chose from a variety of recreational activities. At night, free time gave them the chance to try out the Olympic-size swimming pool, dance, watch a movie, make arts and crafts, or shop at the camp store.

Special thanks go to the four adult volunteers, Catherine Ducote, Lindsey Roshto, J.R. King, and Matt Blakemore, as well as the five junior counselors, Blair P., Haleigh N., Jeze H., Levi L., and Chanler F., for all of their hard work and support during the week.
