South Live Oak Arts & Crafts Festival to be held March 27th - 29th

Festival Rides - The rides will be up and running, waiting for all to have fun! There will be rides for the big kids and littles. Rides take two tickets so make sure you purchase enough to enjoy. Tickets are on sale now in the office for $1.25 per ticket, sold in increments of 4. After noon, March 27th  , tickets will double in cost.

Spelling Bee - Come watch the brilliant students of South Live Oak battle it out as they compete in their respective grades' Spelling Bee under the pavilion. 3rd grade begins @ 6:00 p.m., followed by 4th grade.

Raffle Baskets - While under the pavilion, come take a chance on one of the many themed baskets that will be raffled off on Saturday. You do not need to be present Saturday to win. $1 per chance. (Some theme baskets include: Arts & Crafts, Family Night, Louisiana Lagniappe, Gift Cards, Gardening, Fitness, Summer Fun, Money Tree, and many more.) Drawing will be held @ 6:00 p.m. Saturday Night.

Silent Auction - This year the South Live Oak VIPS will host both a LIVE & SILENT AUCTION. The Silent Auction will be Thursday 3/27-Saturday 3/29 at noon. The Live Auction will begin Saturday 3/29 at 11:30. The Silent Auction will have items that are specific to SLOE & Live Oak, such as "SLOE principal for a day" & "2 front row seats to all SLOE events". The Live Auction will include items such as Family Photography Sessions, Ice chests and gift card bundles!

Food Trucks - Lastly, take the night off of cooking and enjoy a meal from an assortment of Food Trucks. Make sure you sign in your child under their homeroom teacher, in front of the office, for the homeroom class in K-2 & 3-4, who has the most in attendance will win a pizza party and extra recess.

Games - Games will be for all ages and include spacewalks, face painting, hair painting, and more. These activities will take place on the patio by the pavilion, so come jump for joy and play a few games. (SLOE Tickets or cash required, not ride tickets)

Concessions - If you get hungry and need something to refresh you, stop by the concessions tent to enjoy. Some of the concessions include: hot dogs, pizza, nachos, Frito pies, chips, fresh popcorn, snow cones, candy, soft drinks, and water.

Craft Vendors - There will be several craft vendors, in combination with Frog's Farmer's Market, set up in front of the school from 1:00 - 5:00 selling their wares. You can choose from a variety of unique and fun items from jewelry and monogrammed apparel, to household décor. Come take a look!

Red Carpet Fashion Show - Come check out the latest kids' styles as our precious and adorable  K, & 1st graders model their favorite outfits down the red carpet. These cuties will have you grinning because, as Annie says, "You're Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile." Show begins @ 6:00 p.m. under the pavilion.

2nd grade Educational Fear Factor - Come watch the Scary Good Fun, as 2nd grade students participate in a Fear Factor style activity. Fun begins @ 10:00 a.m. 

Jambalaya Dinners - If you purchased or sold jambalaya, they may be picked up in the SLOE cafeteria from 11:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. Meals will be ready, fresh and hot, with your jambalaya, white beans, hot roll, and a cookie. Take them to go, or enjoy them at the festival (inside & outside seating available.)

3rd grade & 4th grade Kickball Games - Sports Fans will be delighted as South Live Oak's upper grades show their sportsmanlike conduct and compete in a friendly competition of kick ball within their own grade. Kick off begins @ 1:00 p.m. located on the back field behind school.

Pre-K Painting - Students who attend Pre-K at South Live Oak will have a chance to use their small motor skills and creativity as they participate in a painting party hosted by their teachers. Painting begins @ 2:00 p.m.

Talent Show - If you are wanting to see some amazing talent, come watch the accomplished students of South Live Oak compete in the Talent Show under the pavilion. There will be dancing, singing, group performances, and more. It is sure to be a hit! Show begins @ 4:00 p.m.
