The Suburban Reviewers gathered at the Denham Springs Library on April 2nd. An Easter theme prevailed at the luncheon meeting hosted by Kenna Karnish, Kathy Pickerell, Sharman Rainey, Terry Easterly, and Kathy DeGeneres, Members enjoyed a delicious assortment of finger sandwiches, salads, cookies, lemon bars and other treats.
President Theresa Dendinger welcomed 23 members in attendance. Club officers for the 2025-2026 club year are Theresa Dendinger - President, Elise LeBlanc - Vice President/Program Chair, Earline Sceroler - Secretary, Sharman Rainey -Treasurer, Judith Nesom - Parliamentarian. Special Events Chair will be Angela Mashon, working with Judith Nesom and Kenna Karnish. Paula Kelly, who is simply put, irreplaceable, will continue as Club Librarian. Ann Harris and Elise LeBlanc agreed to serve on the recently reinstated Library Committee.
Terry Easterly and Judith Nesom spoke In recognition of the passing of our beloved member Carol Underwood Justice. Fond memories were shared of Carol’s contributions to our club and community. Passing at age 92, Carol was our last remaining founding member and had been honored with a special Lifetime Membership five years ago. Although unable to attend meetings in recent years, Carol was active on our social media and we will greatly miss reading her delightful comments about club activities.
Angela Mashon, Special Event Chair, provided details about our Spring Event planned for May 7, 2025, which will feature a visit to Le Chien Brewery to observe their brewing process and enjoy a crawfish boil and Fais Do Do.
