As previously reported on May 9th, at approximately 21:07 the Livingston Police Department received a call for a gun shot wound victim, determined to be a passenger in a car traveling through the Town of Livingston. Investigation has determined the victim was shot at the Doyle High School Baseball field off Mclin Rd. During this time no school event was scheduled nor were any students present. The victim appears to have left the ball park with another passenger and driver. Later that evening the driver, Brandon Soileau was arrested on a warrant for:
⁃ 1st Degree Murder
⁃ Aggravated Burglary
⁃ Obstruction of Justice
⁃ Tampering with Surveillance
On Saturday May 10th the Livingston Police Department along with the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office executed an arrest warrant on the passenger, Caleb Rowley a 23 year old white male for:
⁃ 1st Degree Murder
⁃ Aggravated Burglary
⁃ Obstruction of Justice
⁃ Tampering with Surveillance
On May 11th the Livingston Police Department along with the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office executed an arrest warrant at 12238 Buddy Ellis Rd in Denham Springs, La for Lavorius Linson, a 24 year old black male. Linson was booked in to Livingston Parish Detention Center on the following charges:
⁃ First Degree Murder
⁃ Criminal Conspiracy
⁃ First Degree Robbery
⁃ Illegally Supplying a Felon with a Firearm
Through investigation officers learned of Linson’s involvement. Linson was actively involved in planning, executing and supplying during this incident.

There are still several unanswered questions as this investigation continues. We are however, confident that the main players in this horrific crime on May 9th have been arrested.
