Tickfaw State Park is inviting students from kindergarten through 12th grade to participate in its Youth Art Contest in celebration of Youth Art Month this March.

The contest is open to students across the region and encourages young artists to showcase Louisiana-themed artwork highlighting the state’s natural beauty, wildlife, and culture. Submissions will be accepted from Feb. 20 through March 6, 2026.

Winning artwork will be displayed in the park’s Nature Center for one full year, allowing thousands of visitors to view and celebrate student creativity. The selected pieces will be officially unveiled on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Tickfaw State Park.

Students will compete in grade-level divisions ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade. Families and educators can obtain an official entry packet at the park’s entrance station or by contacting park staff for full contest rules and submission guidelines

Park day-use entry fees apply for Art Day events.
