Two incidents distracted from the day at Walker High School on Friday, January 16.
First, a threat was called into the school from an unknown source. Walker High School administrators called in the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office (LPSO) for a sweep.
Nothing was found or detected, and school flow resumed as normal.
Later that afternoon, eight (8) students were caught in a fight. According to school system officials, the fight was managed internally and all students were 'disciplined in accordance with school policy.'
Charges were filed with LPSO for six (6) of the students. No names have been released.
