On October 31, Le Chien Brewing Company hosted their Halloween Anniversary Party, inviting all Halloween enthusiasts to come on down and party. The celebration began at 3 PM and lasted until closing, with live music by Barrett Morgan and the Ashtrays.
Six years ago on Halloween day, Le Chien opened their doors for the very first time, creating what would become a landmark brewery and event host for the area in the Denham Springs Antique District.
People attending the party were able to pick up their favorite brew from the bar, enjoy the music and atmosphere, and take a stroll through the vendors' stalls set up in the courtyard.
One of the most popular stalls was Collier’s Creatures Exotic Animal Encounters. Their booth offered attendees the opportunity to take pictures with fuzzy ferrets or Malfoy the boa constrictor who was rescued by Collier’s just last year. Sir Iggy Newton the iguana hung out on a nearby table and was ready and waiting for everyone’s attention as they passed by.
Along with Collier’s, vendors’ stalls included Platinum Possum’s jewelry and handpainted artworks, As It Is Written’s devotional journals, Magnolia Link Co.'s permanent jewelry, and CajunCraft’s 3D Printed animal pals and fidget toys.
Face Painting with Grace was another smash hit from 3 PM to 5 PM, adding the perfect touch to any last minute halloween costumes and the late night costume contest created the perfect incentive to go all out with creativity for a shot to win ultimate bragging rights.
“We are beyond grateful for everyone who has been part of our journey and helped make Le Chien what it is today!” the company wrote in a facebook post.
