OBITUARY | Sarah Elizabeth Jackson

Sarah Elizabeth 'Sally' Jackson: 1/1/1952 - 8/15/2026

As a child she attended Holy Family and Riley Elem. She graduated from Ullman HS in 1969 and received her BA in Art from Alabama A&M in 1973. As a child, Sarah joined Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Riley Station. 

God blessed her with a natural gift and talent in art! Sarah participated in Christian camps. She worked as a paraprofessional in the Georgia School System. 

Sarah had and loved several cats! She transitioned on August 15, 2026. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mrs. Willa H. Jackson, father, James Jackson, brothers William S. Woodfolk IV and Charles E. Jackson.

Sarah leaves a legacy of her love of art and cherished memories with her family and friends.  She is survived by her siblings Jacqueline Askew (Norman), Willa Jane McNeal, B’HAM, AL., Karen Brooks, Watson, LA. First-cousin, Addie Rogers, NASH, TN.

Nieces, Marcienne Wright, B’HAM, AL, Kimberly Hester(FL), Kelly Nelson (TX). Nephews William Woodfolk V and Matthew Woodfolk (Chicago, IL) and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Special thanks to Marcienne Wright and Cynthia Searcy for their deep love and selfless care of Sally. Thanks to Emory Hospital, Amicasa Health, the Decatur Street Ministry who prayed & ministered to Sarah, neighbors and friends.

Sally, we love and miss you!
